#hcsm – September 7, 2014

  1. Does SM always have an agenda? (Example – person representing a HC org they’re affiliated with.) When is this good & when a problem?
  2. When does social media turn into medical advice? What crosses the line of patient privacy preferences versus actual HIPAA violation?
  3. What are the ethics for researchers who are looking at #hcsm and online patient communities?

Don’t forget – if you’d like to submit a topic for a future #hcsm chat, you’re welcome to! Read the details on the different ways to submit a topic for a #hcsm chat. Also, if you missed the chat, or want to add additional thoughts & feedback to the above discussion topics, leave a comment & keep the discussion going!
