Super Bowl Sunday – do more people watch for ads or for the game? Do orgs miss the mark by attempting to target such a broad audience? How can we use targeted HCSM to reach the right audiences w/ health info? How do you determine your right audience?

Topics:

Many providers “BYOD” (bring their own devices) to work – but they may or may not be secure. Background reading for T1 – http://bit.ly/yBIMbH – increased opportunities for secure platforms & devices. Will increased secure messaging platforms & mobile devices further drive adoption of HCSM – or just EMR access? Why/not?
Should providers be reimbursed for time online? What if much of it’s not 1:1 patient contact – does that change your answer?
Google recently announced new privacy changes. Will this impact how providers, patients, or caregivers use Google tools?

Tonight we’re discussing the recent FDA guidance on unsolicited requests for information.

FDA recognizes that it can be in the best interest of public health for a firm to respond to unsolicited requests for information about off-label uses of the firm’s products that are addressed to a public forum, as other participants in the forum who offer responses may not provide or have access to the most accurate and up-to-date information about the firm’s products.

What do you think about their choice for the first draft guidance – responding to unsolicited requests?
Think about the content w/in the guidance itself. Is it clear to pharma what’s best practices vs. not? What would you add or clarify?
Many people were hoping for larger guidance & more structure from FDA. What should come next from FDA?
